Awful news, and sad confirmation that prostate cancer doesn’t just impact on older men. 48 is no age to be diagnosed at stage 4.

Don’t ignore the symptoms, gents. And if you’re at higher risk, get yourself checked. It is so treatable if caught early.

Here is a wonderful specimen of a man. Supremely fit, taking the utmost care of what he ate and drank, a beautiful family. And yet, and yet he's been dealt the cruelest hand.
If I was him I'd be raging at the injustice of it, the unfairness of it.
I feel so so sorry for him

So sad and so brave of him to come out in the media with the inevitable spotlight. On the plus side doing so raises the profile of prostate cancer and the need to be checked regularly so if it saves one life he'll see it as a job well done.

I think that is why he has been applauded so much for his statement. He has gone the other way. Bless him
And his family.
