On the drive into work every morning I could tell which other drivers were tuned into his breakfast show.
They were either smiling or laughing out loud, even though they might be in the car on their own.
RIP Sir Wogan.

Listening to Chris Evans pay tribute this morning and feels so very sad. What a great broadcaster and gentleman. Many said, like Smiffy, you knew who was tuned into Radio 2 in the car as they were all chuckling away. Will be sorely missed.

BTW - anyone with a Janet & John CD could find they have an investment!

Unfortunately I never heard him on the radio as up until recently I was radio 1 listener. After hearing the tributes today I have been listening to some Janet and John stories and they are brilliant. Favourite is when John falls off his scooter and scuffs his shoe.

I see the Daily Fail today have a headline advertising an article or possibly comment page from some nutjob on why Wogan meant more to people that Bowie ever will. So it seems like the only way The Daily Fail can deal with this is to manufacture some kind of 'death off' between 2 very much loved people whose bodies are virtually still warm. Like it's a competition on who is the best dead celebrity. Can't they just let them rest in peace and accept that people liked them both in their own ways, and liking one person more does not preclude you from liking another. Utter scumbags.

It was in the petrol station as I was filling up, and I made the mistake of looking at the headline it as I passed the paper stand on the way to pay. That will learn me....

When I stop away on business and the Fail is offered as a 'free newspaper, sir?' my refusal and request for a copy of The Beano instead is frequently lost on the receptionist.
