Collapsed on stage of tonight's opening night of Pheonix Nights in Manchester, clutching his chest. Show was cancelled.

Hope he's ok - not seen any further updates on his health just yet.

The latest report is he's stable, looking at pictures published covering the last couple of years he's piled the weight on, no doubt its going to be a heart condition, attack or stroke etc.

Hope he comes though this. I've enjoyed listening to Ted on Radio lancs for some years and reading all the messages on the manchester evening news website he's certainly well respected & much loved.

I was at the show last night and it wasn't nice. Much uncertainty at first but very quickly it was obvious that it was serious. So glad to hear he is making good progress as it really didn't look good, the whole crowd were just stunned. He did our gent's dinner a few years ago, one of the best speakers we've had and a true gent.

Saw this on the news this morning. Not nice to see. Very talented entertainer from a talented family and hope he gets well soon. Not much news other than he's stable. Does a fantastic amount of charity work especially for kids charities and I hope he recovers soon

according to his wife he had scarlet fever when he was a child and this affected his heart,he knew he needed a simple opp to sort it out but never had it done,strange,but hopefully he will have this now and come back fit and well.

We we're in Chester on Friday night and saw Justin Moorhouse at a comedy show. He was saying how he'd stopped smoking and drinking because of his weight, must take its tool on you doing gigs around the country, eating at the wrong times, pints getting chucked in (and at you) at gigs/after shows.

Disappointing and crass of the Sun. Not surprised though. Hopefully Robbins will get the op he needs as part of the treatment and make a full recovery
