Taylormade Superdeep driver

I am on the verge of buying one of these Taylormade Superdeep drivers 8.5 or 9.5 degree with the RIP 70 shaft.

Does anyone know of any similar spec / performance drivers available without shelling out the hefty price tag of the superdeep.

One thing I must add to my original post on this thread is that the reason I am looking at the R9 Superdeep driver is that I require a low launching driver & shaft as I naturally hit a high ball.

Well you dont need an R9 for that. As I understand it you need the right shaft and loft, you can have that with most any good driver. Sounds like you need to get a custom fit.

The old Taylormade 510tp is a good cheap alternative.
You can pick one up of ebay for around £50 with a Fuji 757 Shaft for a good condition one. Great Combo.

That was pretty much what I required when it came to buying my i15, and I made the right choice. Plus I got it for £140.

Ping G15 prolaunch red shaft for £175

you guys seem to favour the Ping g15 / i15 heads is this because they are more forgiving or are they low launching?

On the shaft side of things most seem to favour the Prolaunch Red...I am also looking at the AxivCore Tour green shaft...anyone tried this shaft?

Can only comment on what i play or have played with. Had a Ping g10 with prolaunch red stiff shaft and it was a lovely club. Now got a G15 which is even better. Not a great fan of ping irons, but their woods are the business.
