Hi,

I am debating on purchasing a new TM driver. A quick question regarding the shaft.

The R65 spec, does the R stand for 'regular' flex, or can you get an R65 shaft with a 'stiff' flex?

Thanks

Rhys

R = regular flex correct.

The 65 is the weight of the shaft, in grammes.

You might also want to consider kick points :D

The stiff flex would read S65 but as a rule of thumb (i think) stiffer shafts tend to be heavier but you probably can get a stiff 65g somewhere.

Wat shaft is it?

I would say TM's R on the Burner Driver is probably equivalent to a Cally Diablo R but firmer than a G15 regular. The R9 regular seemed a lot firmer than the Burner so not every make and model will correspond directly.

R = Regular
S = Stiff
X = Extra Stiff

It can be one or the other, no regular shaft with stiff flex. Try both a regular and stiff shaft prior to buying and see what flies best for you.

Good point Homer, One mans stiff is another mans regualr... ooh errr! :D

Rhys just like trainers, adidas size 9 might be the same size as reebok size 10's, as suggested ry each shaft before you buy it.
