Morning all

As ever with a TaylorMade launch there have been some very interesting discussions on here about the new products. It's always fascinating to follow how opinions develop as info and images are released.

I would like to open up an opportunity for a group of forum members to experience some detailed testing with TaylorMade and adidas and have the chance to provide some feedback on video and the GM forum. One group of applicants will be selected to be fitted for a new TaylorMade driver and test it out on the range and course before providing detailed feedback. Another group will be some of the first to try out a unique new shoe offering from adidas and will again be asked to provide feedback after a day of testing. This will all take place at Wentworth in January and the day will feature a number of other unique elements that we are currently working on.

I am looking to recruit as wide a range of golfers and opinions as possible for this feature. If you are cynical about recent launches and would like the chance to question experts and engineers then please don't hesitate to apply. Equally if you are a dedicated TaylorMade/adidas player then your opinion will also help form part of what should be an interesting day.

The actual date is TBC but it will take place in the middle of January on a weekday and applicants will need to make their own way to Wentworth. If you would like to apply send the below details to paul_o'hagan@ipcmedia.com with the title TaylorMade & adidas testing...

Forum name:

Why you would like to be considered:

Looks like a fantastic opportunity for some lucky forumers. Bit too far for me, but I'll look forward to the write ups...

Great opportunity, but sadly too far for me to go, and I'll be in the middle of a house-move in January anyway so can't spare the time or money.

Best of luck to those who put their names forward, and looking forward to reading your thoughts. :D

I wonder how many Taylormade haters throw their name in the hat?

I'm not a hater, I'm a cynic and if I had holiday I would put my name down as I would like th eopportunity to ask some questions and I'm sure TM would like the opportunity to educate me in where I am going wrong. I think I'm open minded enough to be able to write a fair review based on my experience of the product I had tested despite my reservations about TM and their current product set.

I would have liked to go and ask questions and so on, however I would not want to take any equipment that I would not use so I wont put my name down. I worry that I would go along and not get a proper selection of shafts and would feel the need to replace my current driver with a TM driver with a cheap mass market shaft.

With the R11 fitting did the guys that went on that have a range of shafts or was it TMs R,S,XS?

Anyway, as always a wonderful offer from GM and TM.

If its at the TM lab at Wentworth youll get the full range of shafts to choose from without doubt!

As usual another amazing op from GM for the forum, not for me as happy with my driver (just not the idiot on the other end of it) and had so many issues with Adidas shoes previously. Good luck whoever gets chosen

Wentworth is TMs National Fitting Centre (One of them at least) You will have the full choice of options at your disposal.

Another fantastic opportunity and interesting for me since I've a full bag of TM clubs. Would be interesting to see if/how their new driver could improve on my R11. However I think it's a bit much of a trek for January so I'm going to pass.

As the R11 was that new we only had stiff or reg at our disposal but they did give Screwback a heavier shaft in his if i remember correctly. Still a fantastic opportunity as there technical knowledge is superb.

Oh and it was the Blur shaft that we had.

Heathrow is the closest airport. It's 20-30 mins drive depending on which terminal you land at and assuming traffic is OK.
