System 36

Never heard of this but I smell a rat! Maybe the example used is not very good but the person went around in plus 13 (hence the handicap calculated) yet gross 90. Is the par therefore 77? The only difference it would make is if someone scores a big number (worse than double bogey) as this would make no difference to their stableford (nil points) but would increase their medal net.

Am I missing something?
 
An interesting idea. Suspect, although I'd have to look into it more, that it's an attempt to use a golfers distribution of scores rather than just the adjusted gross score used normally. Could work - we all know that an 18 handicapper doesn't often go round with 18 bogeys like a scratch golfer would with 18 pars.
