Summer concerts/festivals

A few of the lads went to some of the "monsters of rock" festivals back in the late eighties. I was only dipping my toe into to rock then, wish I would have went to one looking back, although all of my money went on footy in them days.

They were brilliant! Just one stage with mega acts. Saw Guns and Roses on the same bill when they weren't well known. You just had to keep an eye on the bags of p1s3, etc. being thrown about!

guns n roses biggest dissapointment ive ever had! Axel is a patch of his old self and is purely living off the name to make money for old rope. Even the nw guitarist wears a hat like slash used to which also made me laugh!
they was over an hour late for there set at reading and the same at leeds where they got the PA turned off due to noise restrictions haha

axel IMO is an egotistical knob whos voice is as good as gone. Not only did they get abuse from the crowd they also had other bands making comments all weekend which was ammusing.

They really did do a poor showing of themselves and tarnished a good name..

Yeah flying pish really is annoying at a festival but then thats why especially of the nighttime sets i stand with my hood up on jumper purely for this reason

For the proper G'n'R experience you need to go and watch Slash who performs the classics as they were meant to be heard.

Bingo. Plus he normally has Myles Kennedy on vocals which is a total winner.

They were at Download this year but it was them or the Prodigy. I saw Slash and Myles in 2010 but have not seen the Prodigy since my uni days when they had just released 'Charlie Says' so there was only one choice. If anyone gets the chance to see the Prodigy live, do it.
