For the last couple of years I've been organising a wee 4 day summer golf trip with some pals from my local.

Started with 4 of us, then went up to 7 and now 8 this year. Perfect number. Perfect company. Cracking courses;-

Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Moray. Ooh I can't wait again

Glad I booked now because Dornoch only had two tee times free for a Friday in late May. Busy, busy. But worth the trip, I'm sure you'll all agree.

Should be even better next year when this baby opens to the public for the first time. http://www.castlestuartgolf.com/currentphotos/index.htm

Near Inverness airport. Same designers as Kingsbarns. Think we'll be slipping this one onto the rota! Oooh. See John drooling!

The link above shows how the course is being built. Quite fascinating....and who needs Trump?

As you say, fascinating (video)......good to see how the creation takes place. Looks as if it will be amazing.

Never even knew it was being built.

Watch the 2nd green at Dornoch! I putted off of it a couple of years ago. Like bloomin glass it was. I then tried a delicate bump and run for my third, failed! Then tried another bump and run, failed.

Then a harder bump and run, 20 feet past the flag. Knee knocking putt again clearly remembering my previous putt straight off the green. Quality 7 and walking off knowing youe score is goosed already! Dornoch is tougher than tough.

Did much the same at the par 3 6th there last year, craw.

Was scooting along nicely, level par after 5, pushed my teeshot, 3 chips, one putt and it all started to go pear shaped, losing 3 balls after that and ending up with an 84! Doh.

Beautiful, though. Can't beat the course. There's a wee clip on my YouTube channel below

Sorry, Parmo. Making me feel guilty now. :( If you fancy starting drinking in my local I'll extend the invite next year ;)

HH, I've actually played them all already. I'm on 97 courses at the mo'(after discounting any 9-holers). Blairgowrie later in the month will be 98, so only one more to choose from before the biggy in April. :D I'm thinking it might be Pitreavie for no. 99 but I'll go with the flow.

P.S. I see Jezz Ellwood is up to 382! It's a hard life, eh?

Pitreave is nice J_ F, played there two seasons ago at an outing,i liked the downhill par three they have which has a burn running round the front and back of the green, can't remember what hole it was , maybe andy can

My god, just looked at the website and it has uncanny resemblance to Kingsbarns doesn't it?!
Played all those courses and you will have a ball JF,put Tain on the rota, great wee track.
I am counting down the days till Easter Thursday when the Claret Jug will be getting played for again over Carnoustie and the Old Course,4th year of the comp,1st Year was Old,New and Jubilee 2nd year was Old, Jubilee and Scotscraig 3rd year was Ailsa,Kintyre and Gailes and I have been 2nd 3 times so dreaming of lifting the Jug at the presentation in The Dunvegan after the Old on Easter Friday....starting to drool too JF!!

Sounds a great trip. Dornoch is fantastic, my all time favourite course. Nairn is great also, the greens seemed like they had been ironed they were so smooth to putt on. I'm envious!

Last time we were in Dornoch we arranged for a "nosing" at Glenmorangie - highly recommended to say the least!

Let me know when you're teeing off at Carnoustie dodger and I might come down to give you some moral support. I'd even caddie for you. Course knowledge and all that. ;)
