Anyone going to see any good concerts/festivals (mud baths) coming up?

Going to see Springsteen at the Etihad on Friday, can't wait, first time ever.

Madness also booked in for December.

Would have loved to have seen the beach boys, but think the're only having a concert in London. A bit late now for the stone roses in Manchester.

Nothing unfortunately :(

Last gig was Maiden at the TrentFM Arena late last year in support of their latest album. Next will probably be next year when they do their "between albums" stadium tour "classic set". I missed The Powerslave one a few years back, so don't want to miss the next one.

Also Bruce at the Etihad. I'm a bit of a die hard (ok make that obsessive) fan so have seen him many many times and even travelled to New Jersey and Paris to watch him. He is quite simply stunning live and can't wait - Bruce at The Etihad is a combination not to be missed.

Nothing better than seeing your favourite band in their hometown. I bet that was awesome.

I was lucky enough to see Pearl Jam play in Seattle when I lived over there. Was a dream come true.

Bit of a fan myself, as you can see from my avatar. Only seen them once though in Manchester (supported by the ex. lead singer from Judas Priest - Halford???). One of my top 5 bands, along with the Cult,Simple Minds, Madness and the other one always changes.

I'm a Boss virgin, six of us going on Friday. One lad seen the born in the USA tour in 1985 (so jealous of him).

We may not get up there until 6.30, where is best to go for a drink? I believe he may be on at 7.30 (early) so dont get in too late.

DefQon#1 in Arnhem (Gelredome) in August. Possibly Black in Amsterdam Arena the week after if I can wangle the time off.

Black - not the Liverpool crooners from the early 80's? I wouldn't have thought they could sell out the Amsterdam arena. Is that the footy stadium - if it is it's a cracking stadium, only seen footy there though. A bit of a way from the centre, but one train gets you there.

You'll love it for sure and will want to go again! I have been known to go 3 nights in a row in the old days although perhaps a bit more sensible now...not that David agrees! I used to queue from dawn to get my place in the line to make it to the front and did once spend much of a rainy day in Paris outside his hotel. Got to meet Nils but Bruce snuck out the back. Funny thing though as there was a big limo pulled up and plenty of MIB and we all waited only for Andre Agassi to appear as it was during the French Open. Not sure he's ever had such a reception - we were very disappointed and the loud sigh was audible!

He is usually late on stage but imagine there is a curfew and he's been playing long shows this tour so he might well be on time - hope so.

Not sure about drinks tbh but there must be plenty of options close by?

I hope not .
Been to the AA for football and events, great stadium. Black and DefQon are not for the faint hearted.

Stone Roses @ Heaton Park on July 1st.

Clashes with a 36hole comp at one of my favourite courses but this is too good an opportunity to pass up on. Plan B supporting also.....get in!!!:)

Off to reading in August, it's my first festival so I'm already excited, it will be a great way to end the summer!

Normally do reading fest but not this year as on bloomin honeymoon...
But going to the Eden sessions as Eden is only up road from me. Nice bit of plan b and blink 182. Seen blink couple years back at reading and they are quality live.

Mr t take baby wipes an toilet roll!!! The baby wipes are for "showering"
And if your stomach isn't very strong I suggest some Vicks vapour rub. You'll understand once you been why I said that haha

Incredible band live. Seen them thrice I believe. Was a bit of a late bloomer and only really got into them properly after hearing "Rock In Rio". That album still blows me away but since then I've acquired their entire (just about) back catalogue. Their last 3 albums have been very average IMO (mostly due to cheesy songwriting which doesn't work outside of the 80s! :D) but They're still a force to be reckoned with when they play live.

I was lucky enough to be front row a few years ago on the "Dance of Death" tour which still goes down as one of the best concert experiences of my life. (befriended some Maiden concert vets who always got to the front (despite wandering into the venue about 10 minutes before maiden came on stage!) Helps that one of them was about 6 foot 7 both ways with a massive beard :D)

You weren't thet girl who got up on stage with him in the dancing in the dark video. A friend maybe??? :)

I believe he regularly does 3 hours plus, I'll be knackered by then. I already had 4-5 albums, but just loaned that box set of a mate and put them on my Ipod.

I've never been for a bevvy around the new ground, more likely a cup of tea at the big tesco nowadays.

Yes, Brucie's voice is the closest in range you could get to Freddie mercury.

Seventh son of a seventh son is the best concept album ever - fact, closely followed by Roger water's Radio Kaos.

Yep it's usually 3 hours plus and sore feet. David is mad I went for GA but last time we saw him in a stadium at The Emirates there were such a bunch of sit down losers in our section I swore I'd go back to standing. I moved to another section who were there to enjoy themselves.

The girl who got to dance with him was Courteney Cox but I'd have swapped places in a heartbeat!!

I quite like his new album but prefer his older stuff. With such a back catalogue though you're guaranteed to get a favourite and sometimes a rarity that will have the Bruce-fags beside themselves!!

You didn't see my little play on words did you. :) Read it again.

We have paid for GA also, one of the lads tires easily now, I presume that includes the seats in the lower tier, in case he wants to sit down for a bit.

I listened to Seventh Son for the first time in forever on the way to Swinger's gaff the other week. Perfect sunday morning album. Still awesome no matter how old it gets!

Rush's 2112 is up there with "best concept albums evar" too.
