Crowborough gets my shout. On a fine day, must be very impressive (I would think, as when I played there there was zero visibility on the front 9, and I still enjoyed it). Nice heathland course, plenty of variety.

everywhere's good when you're winning.

but I'd agree, must be nice when the sun's shining - providing you stay out of the heather.
I'd like to try it again - and I do qualify (rockets are us!).

Thanks for the continued response.

Blackamoor sounds like a good option.

Crowborough, West Hill, Woking, Liphook, Berkshire Camberley Heath and Hankley are great suggestions but we have played (and still do play) these in the last 3 years. We also had fixtures at Frilford Heath and New Zealand last year. Many thanks for the suggestions though as they are exactly the right courses for the society.

I used to live in Liphook so know Old Thorns well but am not a fan. Thanks for suggesting it though.

On another note, it seems like a few people are interested in the society itself. If you work in either the aerospace or defence industries and have a handicap and a sponsor (which I can act as for you) then you are absolutely eligible to join. If you think you fit the criteria and want to join then send me a PM with your email address and I will send you an application form.

For those who are interested, the society is called the Aircraft Golfing Society and you can find out more at http://www.aircraftgolfingsociety.co.uk/...2&Itemid=28

We are 65 years old this year and have over 350 members. I would be delighted to see some of you join, particularly as I am next year's captain! :)

Regards,

Snelly.

If you're prepared to travel up to the W Midlands I would suggest the course that Neil reviewed in this month's GM ie Enville. I am not a member (too poor) but have had the chance to play both courses and they're real ****** but very good as Neil says (Open regional qualifier http://www.envillegolfclub.com/).

Plus Qinetiq has lots of people in close by Worcs which I am sure will qualify for your society link!

It might be worth putting up with MoD speak just for the society.

Happy organising
