Stupid question time...

If playing a medal game and one of the people your playing with takes 6 balls off the tee and each one goes off never to be seen (even after looking ), how many more goes should he have ?

I am right in thinking that he should carry on until he eventually hits one that can count or is there another way round it with out giving up and reg a N/R.

On asking as had a fun medal game today with some mates and this happened , (not to me thank god...)

He can NR that hole.
Doesn't have to NR the whole round just that hole. It'll count as a nett double-bogey for handicapping - he just can't win the Medal.
