Storm Dennis

same down here, highest Ive seen the water levels since we moved down here a couple of years ago and going to be getting worse before it gets better

Yeah I'm in Poole, weather not great, hammering down with rain and gusts non stop, no chance of playing tomorrow, been weeks since i played

Storm Ciara must have blown over quite a few fences because it is really funny to see people trying to safely attach fence panels in a garden centre car park to their car in storm Dennis. Even the couple in a high can struggles to load them into it.

Feeling lucky now having had a professional doing our fence at the beginning of January.

We played nine holes this morning. Ummed and awwed (sp?) about doing more. Glad we didn't as the rain came down more and then the wind. Both have been horrendous at times.

Given the forecast we decided to postpone our 4 bbb winter league game to next week end, a good decision as ive come done with a stonker of a cold

Could have played this morning. Weather was ok. Course open, carry only, 18 temps. Played the full course yesterday, couldn't see the point today. Wandered down at lunch time for a beer and snack. Ubered back, spannered. Off to bed.

Got into to bed only to hear the gate flapping and banging. Got dressed again went and checked. Gate was other side of its latch plate and the fence was listing.. so pushed fence to pull the gate back to the right side of its latch plate and put the bolt in ... fingers crossed that holds but next doors trampoline was upside down from last week so that could be coming into the garden ( thankfully there were no kids in it)

It's been non-stop here for the last 24hrs and it's been really full-on for the last few hours, doesn't look like taking it's foot off the gas for some time yet, I had a duvet day yesterday but I've got to pop into town to pick some glasses (specs) up later, then it will back under the duvet.

All golf I was supposed to play in over the last 2 weeks has been cancelled due to course closures, right across the country.
