Stolen clubs

Harsh comment. I regularly leave my clubs in the car, always when playing two days in a row.

I hope your insurance looks after you.

Why is it harsh?
I know the pain of having clubs nicked from my car(from a golf club car park) and wouldn`t contemplate leaving them in my car overnight outside my house because I have to fold the back seat down to get all my gear in, meaning they are in view from someone walking past and when there is a very secure garage on my property some 20 yds from my car, even if I`m playing 2 days on the run! Once bitten....and I`m not lazy!

Set up a google alert for the description of your clubs, so if they are posted for sale on some obscure website you will get an email
Got to consider that a professional thief is unlikely to sell them straight away if using some online site, so worth looking for, i have recovered both rings and a bicycle but doing my own investigating *the police are useless

A huge % of goods on ebay are stolen, normal form is WON IN A COMP, not needed, selling for a friend etc
These terms are known to be used by people shifting stolen product (Obviously not everyone) but the expressions are used to justify low low prices

get a bigger car

Bad news and I wonder if it was a premeditated break in and someone saw you put them in or has seen you loading the car. Seems a bit random to break in to the car "on the off chance" there would be something worth nicking. No comfort I know but I hope the insurance sort it quickly and that you can get replacements asap. I'll keep an eye out in case they move across the county to Berkshire

worth checking places like facebook selling sites.

Even if you are against facebook/don't use it etc it is worth setting up an account to look through.

Golf clubs selling page etc. There are a few so may take a while to search.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't post looking for sympathy as I know if I'd brought them in this wouldn't of happened. Hindsights a wonderful thing eh.

I am keeping an eye out on facebook/ebay/gumtree/golfbidder and anywhere else they might potentially be sold on. They are actually 545s with NS PRO modus 130 stiff shafts and white golf pride multi compound grips, as I say this must be a pretty rare combination so I'm hoping (clutching at straws) that someone might hear something.

Unfortunately I suspect homer may be correct, my car was far from the most valuable around but it was the only one targeted.

They do also still have my game golf tags in the end of each club, I have e mailed game golf support asking if there's anyway of tracking my clubs but haven't heard back yet.
