Evening all, as you maybe aware I have been on the look out for some new clubs since my return to the game this summer, rather than a few games in the sun this year has really grabbed me and I am out whenever I get a pass now.

Anyway clubs, I see AG now have JPX800's on offer and wondered if anyone had any views as I have heard good things?

I hit them and didn't like them I hit the pros and thought wow they go miles , but then did they!!? When I murdered it , it went miles and I mean miles 6 iron 180 , but for me the consistency was better in the mp53s but god I wish I had got a split set of 4/5 jpx800 pro 6-pw mp53

Quelle surprise. Foxholer digs out a Homer post. To make it simple, the club gave a nice firm feeling and good distance despite the face being forged. No loss of distance and plenty of forgiveness. Glad you got that!
I suspect that the point he was making was that the JPX irons were cast, but the Pros were forged (I think)..

Back to the OP, I had the 800 Pros and they were a great club. I only got rid of them as I didn't like the shafts that I was custom fit for. I had the KBS tour stiff shafts and just couldn't get along with them.

There are a lot of good iron sets out there and some good deals available. I would resist the urge to pick a set until you've tried them and compared them with some others. Without knowing your price range, I'm struggling to make any suggestions, but I would always recommend irons from Ping (especially the G and I20's.)
