The wings mirrors on the wife's car become stuck every 2/3 days and a liberal spray with wd40 tends to free them up.
Are there any other sprays I can use as the wd40 only works for a few days before reapplication is needed .

Probably like Mazda then.Try moving the mirror as wide inboard looking as you can, and try squirting WD40 or similar into the grommet where the cables run up and down, then leave it for a few days. If it's like my previous Mazda, popping the mirror glass out was the best way, but putting it back on without breaking it was a ltitle more tricky but doable.
It might be worth looking on one of the UK Toyota forums, it may be an issue that has a modified (and possible therefore under warranty) part.
That is the benefit of having your Toyota serviced with them each year. You get a years full warranty on the car up to 10 yrs old.

Just noticed my passenger wing mirror is acting up. It’s under warranty and having a service in March will ask them to look at it. It’s a Mazda.

WD40 is really a 'freeing/penetrating' oil. I suggest using a 'lubricating' oil (3 in 1 say) a few days later.

It;s a known issue with Mazda's. It will be a new motor with improved seals. The trick though is not to pressure wash into the mirror housing.

Am glad to hear that because I will mention it.Just got to stop the car “ pinging through the speakers for no apparent reason now.driving me bloody mad.

My Mazda does the same.
My 3 did it, on the drivers side. The motor unit was replaced under warranty. However it then repeated it 4 yrs later. I mananged to tease the glass off, and worked spray lube down the grommet where the wires go and then refitted (eventually) the mirror glass. All worked fine after that. The trick though is not to drive water into the mirror housing behind the mirror glass.

I know, having learnt the hard way by taking it to car washes. I now clean mine with a sponge. No problem since. Mine's a 6

WD40 Specialist silicone oil spray. Use it on all my machine pulley assemblies lasts for quite a while and won’t perish any rubber like normal WD40 can.
As above. I use this on my Mazda CX 30 wing mirrors. Squirt it behind the mirror and when the housing is folded I squirt some around the pivot.

In past cars there was an internal switch to turn off folding mirrors when a frost was due. Simple. My current car needs me to go through about 3 screens on the central screen to do the same thing and I tend to forget. Progress 🙄
