started snowing again last night, another 2 inches on the ground. Looks like another week with no golf.

Its thick of black ice on all roads in Leeds, no buses to work and cars crashing everywhere... Least the snow is thawing and its my rest day.

We're having more snow now - another 2 inches just to top it up again. Bang goes any chance of a game of friday.

Yep, another 6 inches of snow has fallen overnight, and just started snowing again. There's rain forecast for later today and the weekend. So fingers crossed for a round next week.

Took me an hour to get four miles to the station (HID did start driving and then dropped me off and told me to walk). Got the the station about 8.10 and the 7.20 still hadn't gone through (was due about 8.25) the two trains due after that were at least 35 minutes late so I called work. They weren't overly happy but took the day off. At least they won't be able to accuse me of sneaking off for a game or down the range. Bugger that though. Not taking 2-3 hours going into Reading and having no guarantee of a train home again. All that's left is decide what to do with myself. Putting practice calls I think

One of my guys took 20 digging his car out to get started this morning.

The snow was nice and fresh, so the car wasn't gripping too bad.

BUT

He got to the corner of the road, where the nice fresh snow had fallen on nasty invisible ice.....

Apparently the tow truck company had already got 2 booked in from his area, so adding him on wasn't a problem.

Go careful out there, chaps. It's not just the danger you can see...

Took me an hour to drive 3 miles this morning, gave up, turned round took an hour to get back and then had to leave the car 1/2 mile up the road with the rest of the abandoned cars who couldn't get up the hill.....
