Having real problems with my golf at the moment,so much so in fact I walked off after 8 holes at the weekend :(

I know I'm not going to hit the ball great everytime but my handicap hasn't come down at all this year (28) and I've only played to it twice.

My main issue is confidence pure and simple, I sometimes stand over the ball, get to the top of my swing and then just have no idea how to get through the ball.

Any drills for initiating the downswing and/or tips on how to repeat the action?

Aim for a specific finishing position.
A balanced pose at the end of the swing and up on your right toe is a great thing to aim for.(think Rory M) :)

There is a bit in golf world (sorry) this month by Tim Clarke, He says that the swing should be one fluid motion, not broken down and segmented. Dont think of it as a back swing and through swing, just one fluid motion.
