Starting lessons

Ok, so I'm having my first lesson on Monday evening along with a good friend who started playing in December. Having a 45mins lesson with Damien Brooks at Brickhampton Court, will then decide what our plans are for further sessions.

Really looking forward to it.

I'm purposefully paying for one lesson first rather than jumping into a 6for5 offer for that very reason.

Are some teachers like this?

I have heard stories of people going for series of 6 lessons and not being allowed to hit a ball until lesson 3!

I would be amazed if thats true.
If you have a series of 6 lessons, they should be structured in such a way that all aspects of the game are covered.

• Putting
• Chipping
• Pitching
• Bunkers
• Fairway shots
• Tee shots

and possibly an extra playing lesson to bring it all together.
At the end of the day, it's your money and if you're not happy, speak up.

I had 6 lessons and thats exactly what I got except the last lesson was an hours playing lesson.
