STAPLEFORD?

Not correcting somebody when they incorrectly refer to Stableford as Stapleford is like not telling somebody if they have a bogey showing in their nose when talking to you.

It only takes a little pointing out.

Dr Frank would be offended also if people persistently said his name wrong.

There are tons of grammatical horrors creeping into everyday use - 'are' instead of 'our', as instead of has, 'of' instead of 'have'. Grinds my tits so it does.

Specific - too many people say Pacific - why???

Poor!!! :(

God that brings back memories - I used to work with a someone who just kept saying Pacific. In client meetings I just hung my head as it made her sound so bloomin' stupid...

And why do folk discuss, on the wrong part of a forum, a subject that has bugger all to do with golf really and what's more why do the fun polis do nothing about it??

Why??

Because it started off in the right place, but then went off on a tangent.

I've just got into work and spoted it Dodger. I'm now going to wizz it over to the OOB section just to keep you happy. Cause a happy Dodger means a happy forum. ;) ;) :p

Blimmin' blimey heck.

That means we're in for a mega depressing weekend, then.

I've read a depressed Dodger.

I've heard about an angry Dodger.

Rumours abound about a sceptical Dodger.

But happy?

Never heard of that one.
