Played today and all greens were in play. Some had standing water in the middle of them. On a few when I landed on the green there was standing water between my ball and the pin.

Is there any kind of relief involved in these situations or do I have to just putt through the puddle?

Could have and just googled it but thought I'd ask on here.

Thanks Louise.

how would the relief work? Would I just move the ball to the left or right of the water or in front of it?

One quirk of this rule is that the nearest point of relief is just that....the nearest....it doesn't have to be on the green. You can't pick one further away that is on the green just so you can putt. It's also one of the few occasions you get to place the ball off the green.

Where did you play Grogger?

BTW, if there is casual water on your line, on the green, when you are off the green, that is just tough! You have to putt through it or chip over it. :(
