Favourite inland, and we all know that links courses trump inland ones.............so not necessarily my favourite.:whoo:
You had me worried there, I thought you'd gone across to the 'dark side'

Gary....are those pictures the downhill par 5 (12th??) Last time I played it that pond wasn't there.
Interesting comments chaps, I know plenty of people that like St Mellion but never heard anyone describe it as their favourite course before.

I think that's from the very back tee Gordon. If I remember correctly the pond has always been there.

Yes, the 12th Gordon. The first time I went there was only around 4-5 years ago but it was there then. I can't remember where they put the yellow tees though but I 'thought' I'd teed off over it at least once.
As for me saying it's my favourite... probably best to ignore my opinion as I must be a bit of a weirdo! I've played around a dozen courses ranked higher but would still go back there first. Oh, and I don't see the appeal of links golf.
Are the men in white coats on their way?
Long time since I played there (mid 90's I think) so guess my memory is a bit vague.
and the Hotchkin at Woodhall is harder.Have to say watched Mark Crossfields video of playing St Mellion last night and the place looks amazing, he did however say it was a very tough course quite a few times.

Take a ladder and rope. It is not just getting the ball out of the bunkers that is a problem. One of the lads going with us is absolutely terrible at getting out of bunkers, i'mm make sure I have some space on the phone for a video or two.......
