Sprint 6 golf...Anyone tried this yet?

6 holes.
30 seconds per shot
Use phone app to time shots.
Dithering to delay start of timer gets a yellow card.
Taking more than 30 seconds gets a red card and a one shot penalty

The Juniors at my Club are going to try this.
Anyone else had a go?

Will they still be waddling along at 1 mph between shots.......if so it is a complete waste of time.[IMVHO]

Allow a 40 minute limit for the six holes for each grouping, with a shot penalty for every minute over 40 mins.
Much more fun.

We've had these concepts before (Powerplay golf etc) and they soon die a death. I can see it attracting the juniors but not sure how many of our senior members would be too keen

Don't knock it till you try it, I say. :lol:
Anything that can stop youngsters copying the pro's and their convoluted psr's gets my vote.
Also great for the time poor.
But I wait to have my naïve optimism crushed.

Sounds more complex than it needs to be but I see where it is going.

Just 6 holes and a scorecard should be enough to get youth playing.
