Went to the range today with Wee Miss Mad and jarred my ring finger on my right hand. It happened 3 years ago and took ages to recover so I am looking for advice as to how I can make do and mend it .... without too much rest.

When gripping (overlapping) its as sore as hell but not as sore when interlocking although its 12 years since I last overlapped.

Not sure. My golfing head says if you can grip it and hit it play on but the sensible head (not seen in public very often) says wait at least until any swelling has gone down. I guess it depends how much it hurts and what you have coming up to play in

Thats the thing, it ist bruised or swollen. Its just sore. I can grip anything very tight but when my hand grabs the gri it is sore due to the slight agle of the fingers on the right hand.

Am just gonna go for it and put some tape in the bag.

Give up golf for the time being, and go and find a comfy corner in the pub.

Watch England until they get knocked out, and by the 24th June, the swelling might have gone down.

I played again tonight with my cousin and decided to take an extra club rather than go hard on a shorter iron. I played well and hit some lovely iron shots taking divots the same size as beer mats. I even drove the green on the 312 yard par 4 18th.

I just hope I can play this good on Saturday with a card in my hippy.
