Bought 2 different pairs of boots from Fat Ashley's shop and they've both been crap. First pair of Kangol wellies both split within 2 weeks. Second pair of Campri hill walking boots supposed to be waterproof leaked today. So I'll be taking these back AGAIN and taking my business elsewhere.
It's false economy to buy cheap.

The only thing worth buying from SD are the packs of wooden tees, the white tees with the Yellow, Red, Blue or Green markings, they are a damn sight cheaper than anywhere else I've found.

They have some awesome online bargains golf-clothing wise. Seriously cheap top branded stuff. Otherwise it is generally leisure wear and not sportswear plus they seem to have taken Karrimor from a quality UK brand to something akin to shell suits!

Just like Dunlop/Slazenger, Kangol, Karrimor, Donnay and Lonsdale are owned by Sports Direct. They own the brand name after the manufacturing company went in to administration - so it's all generic badged kit made in China/Indonesia/Thailand etc. now.

To be fair, I've bought Karrmior walking shoes from them before and never had a problem. Not a patch on the quality they were in the mid-90's, but I wore the last ones until the soles were smooth. I'd never use Sports Direct for "serious" quality kit though - that's not what they sell at the end of the day.

I have bought Nike and Addidas golf polos from SD before, as well as Dunlop and Nike trousers. To be fair, the clothing is great for the money. I spent £12 on a pair of grey Dunlop trousers, and they do more than what's needed for a round of golf. Yes, they are thin, so could be better suited to Spring & Summer rather than Winter, but as far as trousers go, they're just as good as others! However, they do do £5 trousers, in bright colours, which are like tents with a zipper.

Nothing wrong with the Dunlop Polos. Rule of thumb though is to only get the ones with embroidered logo not the printed ones. I also have a few pairs of light trousers as well as 2 pairs of winter trousers and they are great.

Shoes in SD you are really not getting anything great unless after trainners. I had a few pairs of Karrimor shoes that did the job but the soles started to leak extremely quickly on my most recent pair. Just got a pair of Clarkes casual style shoes and now realising the error of my ways.

Most of the Dunlop poly polo area good if you have a polo addiction. Only thing I've found is at sizing is hit and miss between styles, I have an xl in one that's slightly baggy and one xl in another style that's more snug.

The trainers are good price, get most of mine from there and most of their t shirts are decent. Tapout, no fear etc.
