Looking to get some adidas adizero tours. Did buy some off the adidas backstage sale but ordered the normal fit and they were too tight, and when I went to replace them with the wide they had sold out.

Seen that sports direct currently have them for £38.99, but it doesn't say whether they are the wide fit or not.

Found them in the wide fit on both direct golf and tony valentine golf, and put in a price match request.

Direct golf still haven't got back to me about it after 2 days, and I've just had an email from tony valentine saying that they can't price match because the ones that sports direct sell are a specific model exclusive to them (total rubbish). I assumed this was because the sports direct pic of the yellow/white pair had white adidas stripes and not black (sports direct use the image of the prototypes for some reason).

Explained this to them and they simply said that they understand this but can't price match it...great.

Anyone know anywhere in stock who will price match with sports direct? Or has anyone ordered a pair from sports direct, and if so do they send the normal or wide fit? Did go into the store to get them but they had them for 65 quid.....

How about giving your Pro the chance to quote you and keep in him business - is a few quid that important to you? or would you rather keep Mike Ashley in business because he cant sort you swing or repair your clubs

Absolutely no chance in SD, you may well get anyway with in other places but not SD same as refunds none given just credit notes.

The club I play at doesn't sell them in the pro shop.
And i'm trying not to buy from sports direct, hence why I've tried other golf retailers on a price match.
And yes a few quid is important to me when I can get them for 38 quid as opposed to the 50-70 people elsewhere are quoting.
Why on earth would I pay more money when I can get something cheaper, makes no logical sense at all. I'm a student, don't have spare 20 pound notes to throw about for the sake of it.

Sports direct are a pain - can't refund in store if you bought online, and it ain't free returns, so a £38 purchase can quickly become a £45 + purchase if not the correct ones - just a heads up. Could you try another club? Like a Pay & Play? I have a couple of courses which sell adizeros locally, on a pay&play basis (Blue Mountain near Reading & Pine Ridge near Woking) - not sure if they'll price match but worth asking!

I got price match from American golf with adizero last year. They were quite happy to reduce the prices to match sports direct,

Unfortunately american golf don't sell them any more.
Direct golf have just got back to me and said that they can't price match because the shoes are a discontinued product and they do not price match them, nightmare.
Seems everywhere is willing to offer a price match, but when someone clearly beats them hands down on price, they come up with a lot of excuses to not match.

Tony Valentine are normally pretty good at price matching when it's writhing £20/30 but when it's more they can't

They price matched my putter last year, they had it up for 139 or 149 and I got a price match for £109

3 options.

1. Try on the ones in store and then order of the net.
2. Pay more somewhere else.
3. Look for different shoes.

Ignore the anti Mike Ashley crowd. I've seen many starting with Dunlop sets from SD who then upgrade and become regular customers of the specialist golf shops, that can't be a bad thing for the sport.

You will find some shops that still have them paid a lot more then £40 for them so I would doubt they want to get rid at a major loss, sports direct will have bought the whole stock for a pathetic amount and will just get rid. Good luck getting anyone to price match but I doubt it will happen.
