I'm currently looking for a new pair of shoes, after 2 pairs of adidas 360's im going to try a different brand, the reason being i think the adidas are absolute crap at keeping water out! both pairs iv had have leaked considerably, but they are extremely good when its dry-very comfy. i also have apair of footjoys that are the waterproof kind(made of rubber) whilst these keep the water out they are nowhere near as comfy as the adidas.

so im looking for something in between the 2 extremes, what do you wear and how do you rate them?/

I wear footjoy sport and they are like laying in a pair of slippers. Had no problems with blisters and would recommend them to anybody, bit pricey though they were a birtday present off the wife and kids. ;)

Nike 2010 TW for me... had a pair of Nike Elite from a couple of years ago and they were very comfy and durable.

I was going to try footjoy, but due to problems getting them i ended up going back to Nike. Kind of happy i did.

If you know your size, give these guys a try... best service i've had from any golf retailer.

Just to get the blood circulating amongst the older members, I wear one orange trainer and one tartan carpet slipper :D

FJ dryjoys for me - as comfy as the tartan carpet slipper.

Any chance of killing & burying this thread before Homer gets in?

I have just picked up some Adidas Tour 360 3.0 for £60. I've had FJ's and they are ok, the leather on the SYNR-G's is soft, yeah great for your feet but not for them cracking and spliting from the sole and so not lasting a long time. I've had Ecco Ultra's and they had a defect when the sole split which where sent back..

If your feet get wet learn to stay on the fairway ;)

Too late matey. I'm an FJ whore although down to my last six pairs at the moment. They are brilliant straight out of the box (especially the dryjoys) and I've never had an issue with splitting or leaking. I've only just retired a pair of dryjoys that lasted nearly ten years but with some TLC have played hundreds of rounds.

Footjoys seem to be the bog's dollocks and favoured by the majority of the PGA Tour, if you believe their advertising.

Mine are Etonics, but that's mainly because it's all the pro shop I visited stocked at the time. Nice all black leather with the Q-Fit spike system. Never caused me any problems and largely look after themselves rain, hail or shine. Even when they were collecting dust in the garage for a few years -- jumped straight back into service without any issues.

And the single colour means I don't look like an extra from Staying Alive. ;)

New pair of AQL's seeing their first rounds next week - the other pair goes into retirement. They've worked hard but they're still wearable.
