Just been looking thru Howdidido and my handicap graph has gone from 9.3 in July 2009 to 11.0 as of now ,i had a cut of 0.6 last season which brought back to 10.3 but its back up again and rising.

The thing is i feel i'm hitting the ball better now than i did when i was of 9 but not seeing the results, anyone in the same situation ?.

Have had a block of 5 lessons and the pro reckons i'm hitting better than when i started but he does understand how my handicap ain't coming down. :(

Be patient. For most players their handicap graph over the years is a series of gradual increases followed by a sudden drop and then a series of 0.1's again. Remember that just one round where it all comes together and you shoot (say) 5 under will cancel out half a season of bad rounds. If you are playing better you will put a score in soon I'm sure.

Yes I am in the same boat :( However after having a couple of lessons with more to come I am really beginning to see some changes but it is frustrating when all you get is 0.1's

maybe spend more time working on your short game and putting

was struggling with my short game and had a lesson the other week which changed my pitching action, your right need to practise it more.

Getting on fine with the irons i've got mate just not scoring, just need to practise my short game more, that was the reason i got to single figures in the first place and stop beeing so hard on myself if i don't.

Been in exactly the same boat. Granted it was my short game that held me back but I wasn't getting any rewards for some really good ball striking. It is starting to come now and a lesson on Wednesday to go back to the short game again should give me the kick I need

spent 2 hours practising in the sun today ,what a waste of time that was started shanking when hitting my irons which is annoying as ive been hitting them well.

short game practise was shocking as well after the lesson i got the other week ,ah well it least it was sunny, playing in the sweep tomorrow so it cant get worse, feel a score coming on ,lol
