I really dont see it being our year this time.

There are so many of our players looking out of sorts and not producing their a-game that I cant see us winning this time.

Sorry to be so negative but have been following the action from the start and it doesnt look good as a whole picture.

Unless our putters start to heat up, I fear you may be right Jon.
Fair play to America though, they've played well and at the moment they definitely deserve to be ahead.

I've been enjoying the action mainly on sopcast.
It's an odd one.....Europe seems really "down" and the Americans "up".....in spirit, but also in game.
The US are playing fairly well, but Europe.....just not quite on form.

I'm going to add that before, I thought that USA would have to play their best golf to win, but hadn't considered Europe playing so underwhelming......
Is it the course?, is it the fact it's over the pond?, or is it the captain?....I have to ask....the guys seems so "un" up for it.

the whole thing just seems so flat in atmosphere. Europe are playing very average and the yanks are playing well, that's it.

Kenny perry is driving me nuts, HID has told me off about 5 times tonight for screaming abuse at him and his ugly fat head and horrific swing GGGGGRRRRR

You're not wrong htl (like normal!).

I wonder if the 3-1 after the first mornings golf has made everyone a little nervous. I expected this 2 point lead to survive until Sundays singles. From 9-7 down 14 1/2 is not so bad, but 10-6 could be too much.

As I've probably said before, although I want Europe to win, I feel - let the best team conquer.....neither team really deserves it yet......we'll have to wait n see.

Europe may not be playing the usual outstanding golf we expect in a ryder cup, but they can hardly be said to be playing shite. Nothing could be further from the truth.

There is a lot to do to pull level, but the matches are actually very even. Poulter & McDowell have played very well in every match they've been in. There have been so many tap in putts that the Euro's have had that could have made the complection of the whole contest so different, if but one ball roll more.

If's but's & maybe's do not a Ryder Cup make, but is really does show how even things really are. All said & done I think we'll loose this year, but am hoping we're all going to be proven wrong & the singles will show our true metal in the usual strength of the BooSA players...lol

I think the star of the RC for europe has been Poulter,

Agreed....he's the only one riding the wave (for me).

PS....do you think we should keep ONE thread alive for those of us multi-tasking?

I'm multitasking with 4 windows open (this forum, sopcast, media player (TSN Canada) and the official Ryder Cup site, which is SO SO Slow to update.

And sorry to agree ..
Not exactly bad golf from Europe, but looks like anything we can do, they can do better.
This from a woman who has given up following on 5 live :(, so probably not up to date on the action.

Just been told off again for screaming insults at A. Kim, how annoying is his football shaped head and hand slapping antics, does anyone else think he looks like a panda?

In half an hour the Yanks have gone from - losing their way to playing out of their skins.
Got to agree, we're missing far too many putts I'm afraid.

By the way, I hadn't heard it too much this morning and yesterday, but the "Get in da hole" morons are becoming more vocal!

Apart from a couple of sessions Europe have played exceptional golf, unfortunately the Yanks have played some spectacular golf and had a little more luck and that type of golf is always very very tough to beat.

for the most part, 'we' aren't playing bad golf. when you need to birdie almost every hole just for a half you can't be playing that badly.

we're still on the ropes though so we'll need some really good stuff in the singles.

I remain hopeful, though not optimistic
