As a fully paid up member of Slice Club, I thought I'd tried most things to cure my out to in swing path. Seems all along I was trying to fix it from the wrong place, ie the start of the downswing. Was trawling through youtube looking for inspiration and spotted a vid where the fella placed his stand bag a foot to his left, with the angle of the bag matching the shaft. He said take a slow swing cos if you slice you will hit the bag. I did. The idea was to swing over / round the bag. Felt weird to start with, did it lots in the garden then went to the range. Didn't use the bag but visualised it there, and started to hit draws.
Not only that, it just felt right, a really solid connection which even sounded better. Icing on the cake was the extra distance ! It seems to have cured my other big fault too, which was wrist flipping at impact + "chicken wing"
Now to take it to the course - next game is an Open at a local club on Sunday!!

Just tried it and bent the arm on my stand bag, Oops! Note to self, never practise golf drills after few glasses of wine!
