We have rain and I am going to local football. It is on at present - let's hope it is not too heavy as I walk down the road. I don't want to take the car !! There is supposed to be some sleet mixed in though.

Bitterly cold today in The Hudd.
Limited field turned out for winter league this morning. I blobbed, preferring to turn over and have a lie in.
Started raining in the afternoon which immediately turned to ice. Gritters been out on the roads but the pavements are treacherous.
Even the dogs not too bothered about going out for a walk tonight. Good job cos I ain’t going anywhere!

We had a light dusting but played anyway. Front 9 was fine but got really cold towards the end.

Snowed about an inch earlier, bloody freezing with the added gale force wind.
Howling wind and rain last two days but no sign of snow. Long may it continue
