Homer, you are GAGGING for some white stuff aen't ya. Yer last 5 posts have been .. not yet but I am sure its coming. Listen, after 4 days I am totally pissed off with it so you can come north and take as much as you want.

It's crazy. My mum lives 35 miles away near Wimbledon and it snowed all night and a good few inches lying there and we've not seen any. Acutally I ma happy about that and do feel sorry for all of you struggling at the moment

We've had a foot and a half in the last 24hrs in N. Lincs. Didn't get home from work last night, only just made it this pm and looking at the forecast I won't be going back in until next week (live in the sticks you see). Snow, you can bloody keep it, I'm defo going to Portugal when I retire. :(

It's snowed every day here but not settled so I've been to work :(

I'm flying from Gatwick at the weekend so I hope they get their act together by then!

It's not the airports fault, they're just fine... it's the staff not getting out of their driveways and going to work that is the problem, unless you want to fly/fuel/de-ice/load your own plane?

Edinburgh airport had sh@t loads but there was a difference. As Justone said they had people clearing the run ways pretty much 24/7, ploughs, jcb's and grab lorries kept the air port running just with delays. That's commitment to work.

Down south people call sickies for dirty shoes and that's what will screw your flight! I have friends in east grinstead who said it just hasnt stopped all day, yet my friends perants flew to Oz today from heathrow fine

....... And as soon as she was off the drive you got your check list out:

Laptop - check
Hand cream - check
Tissues - check
Door locked - check

The news just said gatwick closed all flights cancelled until tomorrow morning
It closed at 6am this morning and 'may' open again tomorrow at 10am.

I agree that many people instantly think snow = good reason not to work. It's probably why lots of staff didn't make it to Gatwick this morning, yet plenty of passengers hoping to travel did!

My train to London is normally packed each way but each day this week it's been less and less busy. It was 4 mins late this morning and on time coming home.

Argh! Don't tell me she gave you permission to install a spy-cam in my house?

(BTW... what hand cream would you recommend?) :p

Well when I got home 2 hours ago there was no snow and clear skies. Now the view out of my window is white.
