Hey,

I am in the market for some new irons. The local pro recomended a set of the new Snake Eyes 657C, although i don't doubt his judgement and views on the sport and equipment, after all he is a PGA Pro and that is partly what he is there to offer us. However I am wondering if I should stick to mainstream companies such as Mizuno? After all who do you see using Snake Eyes?

Have tried their clubs before and they are very good. I think that the reason that you do not see them around so much is that they are largely sold through club fitters etc.

As is the same with Mizuno, however you see a lot of Pro's playing Mizuno.I've heard very good press about Snake eyes, yet rarely see them in the shops.

I'm sure there will be a tour pro somewhere who uses snake eyes gear. Probably a Newzealander, as that seems to be where Snake eyes webby site is located.

Snake eyes do make top notch clubs and there irons are rated extremely highly by the majority of people who have used them. I heard a pro talking at a Taylormade demo day (he was actually from Taylormade) and he saw someone looking for some irons and they showed him what they had currently (snake eyes- but not sure which model) and he asked for a go as he had recently been told that the materials and manufacturing process Snake Eyes use is the purest method around second only to Miura.

I have just come back from the USA and they seem much bigger over there - were avaialble in the two golf shops I went into - and displayed near callaway, ping etc, so they must be quite highly thought of over there
