Had to ring Sky yesterday over a small matter and decided to push them regarding HD viewing. 55 minutes later I have ended up with.

A free HD box

Free installation on Wednesday

Free Hd viewing for 12 months

Pretty good result I'd say!

Sky's customer relations have improved immeasurably of late...

Due to their hard nosed attitude in the past I've previuosly cancelled my subscription...

On being made redundant in autumn last year, to save a few quid, I called Sky to cancel my subscription to movies... On explaining my situation the guy I was speaking to advised that on this occasion he could offer me a discount [for six months] on my entire package which would be a greater saving than just cancelling movies alone... I was mighty surprised at this offer to say the least...

They are great, I've had half price packages, free packages for 3/6 months, and half price bills if you take on movies or sports.

It's great! Plus the vouchers when you get a friend to join!

Just rang them and told them I want mymtv package removing (blatant lie) guy put me on hold after offering me 25% discount on my viewing and said.

We could offer you non contractual 12 months free line rental saving me £12.50 per month...boo yea!

Once the footy season is ending I'll get my sky sports on a deal again and enjoy the golf season :)

Last week I phoned Sky to change over from BT boardband to them plus the sky talk deal, at the moment they are doing a deal from 6 months free for new customers, so asked if I could have the same, which would save me £45, was told It was for new customers only and they could not offer it to me.

But what he did do, as I have been with them a long time, was to give me the line rental free for the first 6 months, saving me £75 so better off with that deal anyway.

Then got talking to him while he did his paper work, he asked if everything else was OK, I told him my sky+ box was playing up a bit, having to reset it 1-2 times a month, he said that's not good enough and is sending out a new 1TB sky+ box with the router, as long as I set it up myself

All in all a very happy Bunny

I've been with them about 10 years, they've tottaly got me by the balls.
I pay around £80 a month that's for tv, phone, broadband, multiroom's & Hd.
You get jacksh!te for being a loyal hassle free customer, never missed a payment, never any breakdowns etc, what do you get? Nowt.....,a letter now and again trying to sell cover on my system oh yeah and recently a letter saying I will now be charged for paper bills!! Rewarding loyalty - Na not sky.

Don't get me wrong the news & sport coveredge is unparralelled, but you do pay for it - big time.
Like alot of other things, we have a choice take it or leave it.....but I'd be lost without my news and live sport!

Yeh, they'll keep squeezing your balls because you don't hassle them!

If you don't need sports/movies in the multiroom you can cancel it and still get standard tv plus a few extra (or use your other sky card in the box if it's in the bedroom and no one will be downstairs)

You can get discounts on broadband if you get the line from sky. I get unlimited for £7.50 a month.

Basically you ring sky, they have your details and length of time you've been there and they have offers which match you.

You could probably get half price tv bills 25% off stuff. Just by calling.

As stated I'm savings £12.50 a month for 12 months just by calling and saying I want to leave because I don't watch much!
