OK folks, just been talking (arguing) with a mate at work about what sportsperson should be the next to be knighted.

I say Nick Faldo

He said David Beckham (I agree but only after his retirement)

If Faldo does the business at the Ryder Cup, combined with all the success that he has had and charity work he does who can possibly be against this?

Faldo yes but i would also give Peter Aliss one as well.

As for beckham i would give him a Knighthood if there was a way around giving his wife a title.

After chucking his toys out of the pram last week by not turning up for the charity event he was due to host- no chance

Ive always given Beckham the benefit of the doubt over the years (despite his demostative stupidity for marrying a tasteless ,feckless, indolent bimboid)

Letting down the charity, the people who had organised the event and the people who had paid to attend is unforgivable. All that because poor Beckamy weckamy ickle diddums didn't get picked for the football team.

Complete turnip

I'd give Victoria Beckham one ;)
Honestly Parmo? She's a bag of bones. I'd rather have a quick nine holes.

So its QUANTITY and not QUALITY for you then Shanker?
Not necessarily. But I don't think Victoria has much quality. David would disagree, of course. I'd rather partner one or two of our lady members here- some of whom are a few years older than Mrs. Beckham.

I would make him a knight for sure, just think how many people took up the game (and bough gilette razors) because of the man.

I know he isn't everyones cup of tea but just like tiger, his talent and success cannot be scoffed at.

do you think posh would shout get in da hole?
Yes, she probably would Geronimo. About 5 years ago I had a few games with an attractive American lady and her much older English husband. When the man was lining up his putts all I could hear was ''Put it in the hole, Tommy. Please''
