Single fig h/cap forumers- what Driver?

Ping G15, 9 degree Aldila Serrano stiff. Had a 910 D3 earlier in the season with Diamana Kai'li stiff shaft, absolete piece of crap, sweet spot the size of a pea and even a good strike felt dead. G15 just so easy to hit.

I've got a 910 D3.

I am also in the "get the right shaft" camp.

Before I got fitted for my driver (courtesy of GM) I was using a regular shafted driver and hit a "draw" about 60 yards on every hole!! Whilst in one way it was good as I knew what was happening I was easing off it and losing distance.

Got a stiff shafted one and the difference is huge.

Mine is a Ping Rapture with 9 degrees of loft.

the main reason I bought it is simply because it goes further than my previous driver ...I can hit a lower ball with it compared to others I have owned. The shaft is a cool colour too!

Sounds suspiciously like custom fitting to me ;)

At least we see different parts of the course with my drives - we always go looking in the left crap for yours.......:p

Yep. Standard stock G20 10.5 regular.
By everything that is sane this shouldn't work but it does............
Got far more control than I had with the 910, the bad ones are not as bad and good ones just as
good.

Shome Mishtake Schurly, the left side would indicate a hook, where as my shots go right,

Would you like me to write a big L and R on the toes of your golf shoes

Fragger :-)

I'm using Ping G10, ProLaunch red shaft with 7.5 loft. Previously had G10 with 10 loft (same style shaft) but was hitting it too high. G10 is the first driver I've had that I've really been happy with but think alot of it is actually down to the shaft.

Surely at the end of the day its about testing it for yourself and seeing what works and what doesn't. However where you go so you can try all the shaft permetations without going down a C/F route may be the biggest issue

Playing off 6.5 and using a Ping I15 with a Tour x stiff shaft. Goes miles but face sits open so would only recommend if you draw the ball or hit it straightish

All this and not one cobra big up! - Try S3, ZL encore or, if you can find one, an S9 pro - fantastic!
At Silvermere I tried the Long Tom and S3 limited edition white....only hit one ball with each...Long Tom has a comically long shaft and is soooo light! Nailed the one ball I hit down the middle and huge hang time. It went a country mile however it had no feel and you know that any slight misshit and you'd have your provisional on the tee ready before the first had landed!!!The all white S3 requires you to wear pink trousers. It's that effeminate...I swear there was a wife of perfume coming off the club ;) Hit one ball and I no idea if I middled it - no feel - until I looked up and saw it bulleting down the range! The sound was also weird. From my tiny review these drivers are performance over feel. Not for me but others will love them.

After today I would have to recommend the Titleist D3. Fallen back in love with this.

You know it makes sense.

Any way, why change a club you are familiar with throwing. A new one might take ages to get the flight just right. Long enough, high enough, but not enough to break it.
