Mattcross1977 and myself are going to play Silloth on the 24th October at around half ten. 2 more places left for a fourball at £33 a piece. Anyone want to join us?
Course was in great condition, as usual! Greens playing quite quick (not express) and true, the only difference from summer was the ability to shoot at the greens rather than bouncing on. Saving par took the honours by virtue of being less crap and having a great short game. We were taken by surprise by the wind direction which was not the normal one. playing across most holes rather than the into and out wind that usually prevails.
If you have a county card use it - 16.50 is unbeatable.
Crap golf an under statement for two cat 1 golfers. In the heather all day for me and trouble with the par 3's for splashtryagain. Enjoyed the game, and great to meet a fellow forum member. Looking forward to meeting up again some time in the future.
Course was in good nick and very quiet, appeared to be mainly visitors. The wind was certainly not the prevailing wind, it was blowing off the land which is certainly unusual in this neck of the woods.
Anyone playing it soon should certainly enjoy it and as stated superb value if you bring your county card.
