8 player 3 rounds template

8 of us going on a golf trip later this month. We will be playing 3 rounds, and want to ensure that everyone gets to play with everyone else at least once.

I seem to recall there was a template for this posted on here a while back, can anyone post a link to it?

There was, but that was 20 people in two teams of 10, playing 4 rounds. 8 into 3 should be easier? Ha.

This does ensure that everyone gets to play with everyone, but it also means that everyone has one person that they play all 3 rounds with. Not sure if it's possible to avoid that - I will try again and see.

Nah, I can't think of another way. It's odd, but in order to avoid them playing with one person all 3 rounds, it means they miss out on playing with one player. So everyone will have one player they play every round with, but they'll play with all other players once each. The pairs of 'buddies' are A & C, B & D, E & G, and F & H.

We usually play as rooming pairs and just ensure each pair get a round with every other pair over 4 rounds. Works for us.
