try the latest versions of these clubs. the older ones wont be that much different. if you are going to splash big money on them i would say get youself down to american golf and get your swingspeed tested at least.

you can hop on their machine for free. it might not be the best thing around but it will give you an idea of what shaft will suit.

Keep the current clubs until you can hit them properly.

Playing off 24 the clubs aren't going to make much difference.
I had a target - get down to 15 with my old/horrid clubs - and then change irons once I'd done that.

Besides 180 with a 5 iron isn't bad at all (unless it's all roll).

will as suggested, i realllllllly hate the fat shaft on the wilsons, they do work but the mizuno are on offer for £299 from £520 and the nikes are on offer for £249 from £500. Just seemed like a good idea as my last set of irons before the wilsons lasted 15 years

:rolleyes:i think lessons would be a wiser bet rather than new clubs,if you have been playing for over 15+ years and still have a h/c of 24 something is wrong with your game.

in all fairness though, i have played for 15 years and 7 of them i was in the army so only played irregularly. Then i met my new missus so that took 3 or 4 years of none playing so only in the last two years have i taken it seriously, ive had lessons and grfooved a lovely swing, so now want a set of irons i am really into to take me into the next at least 5 years. and the mizuno's seem to be **** hot.

you wont go wrong with either of the 2 sets mentioned. I had the nike full cavity and hit them well, I only changed due to my ebay golf club addiction. Thankfully I am now cured thanks to GM & TM ;)
