Shoes

I have a few pairs mate. Best ones are Nike air tw 8.5. I am looking some new ones myself, I like the look of the adidas ones as can get the tour 360 3.0 for bout 60 quid at the minute, they last season, but I am not my wife, so I dont mind that sergio has newer shoes as long as my feet are dry and happy when I get off the course!

Dryjoys. Comfy straight from the box and with a bit of TLC will last and last. I've had several pairs for about 5 years and the leather is only just beginning to go now and so they aren't quite as waterproof.

Dry joys (2 pr). Good as anything. 4 years old, still going strong.

Classics (3 pr) leak like a sieve, not easy to break in, but just got something intangible. Class.

Classic tours (1pr) should be the best of both worlds, but actually the worst of both. Expensive, and still not waterproof.

Churches (1pr). So far so good. But not a clue if they are waterproof yet. I doubt it, but boy were they cheap (for a +£200 shoe).

I too am a DryJoy man, and they are so comformtable.

I also tried a new pair of the FJ Sport, and dare I say it, they felt even better, though I didn't play in them, but they felt great on the foot. You can pick them up for around £80-ish if you look around.

1 pair of Nike SG3, very comfy but look like they have built up orthapaedic heels!!

1 pair of Addidas Traxzion, my 2nd pair of these. Very cheap and surprisingly good and long lasting.

1 pair of FJ AQLs, the only thing under £150 at Woburn when I forgot my shoes one day. Very comfy though.

3 pairs FJ Premier Classics Dry, beautifully made special shoes. Just keep them away from any moisture on the ground!!

Er, er. I like Hi-Tec. Cheap, look good, but best of all, comfy as hell. I've been playing recently in a pair of battered old Hi-tecs, to try and save my Nikes. I put the Nikes on yesterday, that I've had for a year, and started to suffer at the 15th. Off to AM this weekend with some vouchers for a new pair of Hi-tecs. Advert over.

1 pair of FJ AQL and 1 pair of Nike (not sure which model). FJ are great, can't fault them at all. Nikes are too heavy so hardly ever wear them.

Looking for new FJ's but as I posted awhile ago are issues with their new sizes (not doing certain models in wide fit) so might have a look at either the FJ sport or addidas.

Its horses for courses mate!

Adidas by far are the most comfortable shoes I wear and I now wont buy anything else, however your feet may be totally different to me.

Fj or Nike may fit you better and be more comfortable, go and try loads of shoes on at a local shop or store. Incidently, I got a pair of 360 Tour Ltd pro for £70 delivered. Just put it into google, they are on offer just about everywhere now as they have brought out the Tour 360 4.0 for this year. Adidas Tour 360 3.0 and you should brag a bargain, I have 2 pairs of these and they are great.

1pr of very old Dryjoys, still going strong. Excellent.

1 pair of Adidas Tour 360 Ltd's, so comfy its untrue.

2 pairs of FJ Classics - quite heavy, and took some breaking in, and I dont like getting them wet.
But, having said that, they are just sublime to wear, and possibly the best footing to play golf from. Mind you, they need tlc and looking after, so if you arent a shoe cleaner, dont bother.

ordered myself a pair of these

For 40 quid i dont think I get anything better.. Had AQL leaked like hell.. So hopfully these will be a little better.

Don't hold your breath hendy, they are similar to the ones I've got. The bit around the ankle is fabric and will leak like mad and the toungue is all soft cushioned fabric too.

I'm looking at getting a pair of footjoy contour series. anyone had any experience of the boa lacing system? should i stick to a pair with normal laces. both options i'm looking at are around £70.

these

Balls!!

Was hoping these would have been a little better, I dont want to hand out 80 quid plus for a pair of dryjoy's.. There must be a dry shoe out there that can hold up to the N.I weather lol

I've got AQL's, and although I've not used them in anything more than a shower or soggy grass my feet are always dry and comfortable when I finish.
