Sherwood Forest

The best time to play it is when they hold the Sherwood Forester comp. Off the tips and wicked pin positions and lightening quick greens, just a brutal test of golf. Play it every year get beaten to a pulp but go back with out fail.

It's the nearest golf course to where I live and when I were nowt but a wee lad I used to caddy every weekend there. It was being a caddy there that got me into golf. One day caddying = seven days getting up and doin a paper round. Didn't realise at the time as a kid what a fantastic course is was.

remeber one half term holiday I went up to caddy midweek and no one was playing. The club pro said if I bladder 50 balls down the first, collect um and I will see you right. An hour later after goin left right and centre I bring his balls back. We walk into club shop and he said " pick any two club chocolate biscuits off the counter for free" .

Great Pics Rob and great to meet you and the guys there for a great round of golf. As you say in Summer it would be a different proposition altogether !!! Hope to catch up with you again soon.
