Quick post,

How much do you think I should pay for a shaft replacement in my 3 wood.

I have brought the new shaft and all that is required is for the old shaft to be removed and the new one put in. How much should I be paying for this?

thanks

Depends how complicated the extraction of the old one and trimming and prep of the new one is, but for a standard job I would say that something in the order of £25-30 should cover it. Also depends of the grip can be saved and refitted or if a new one is needed.

If the shaft was purchased from the club builder, probably a tenner for the installation in a standard bore hosel, more if its a bore thru, on top of the cost of the shaft and grip. That's where it gets a bit tricky as his money is made on mark up on the shaft and grip. Ask your club pro, he'll know someone or maybe even do it himself.

Bit more infomation the current shaft in it got acrack and obviously had to be replaced, i brought an exact copy on ebay. I dont know to much but the tip size is the same of course. The new shaft already has a new grip on it. Cheers for help

Finding someone to install a pull-out is likely to cause you a few more issues. If your replacement shaft has been pulled with too much heat or without a proper shaft extractor, its integrity is likely to have been compromised.
If your old shaft is cracked / worthless and its a non-composite head (assume its the G15 3 wood) have a go yourself with a heat gun. There is plenty of info on the web and youtube to follow.
