Fair's fair, I haven't done a me thread for ages.
I played today in the Lancashire senior ladies championship at Hesketh , the top 16 best gross scores qualify for a matchplay over the next 2 days.
The weather was awful, very windy, and for a lot of the time raining too. I managed to hit the ball well despite the wind using irons to keep it low, hitting low chips to greens and barring a couple of iffy shots and I played really well, until I got near the hole. I missed 4 putts of less than 18 inches, in fact when I totted it up and I took 22 putts on the first 9 holes, very annoying as I have been putting decently recently.
Even more annoying was that I missed qualifying for the match play by only a couple of shots.
I think my problem is that I never feel steady when putting in the wind and so rush the putts, does anyone have any tips on how to keep steady when putting in the wind?
