Serious question with regard to my handicap

Playing with another forum user tomorrow and want to ask a question to those who have played with me.

My last official handicap was 27 but the general consensus is that I am better than that.

Whay do you guys think I should play off to make it a fair encounter???

Your normal handicap is there because thats what you should be shooting on all courses not just your own but if you want You could play off around 23 - 25.

Depends how much better you have been playing.

It was a tad embarassing for me.

Yes it was on my home track which I knew inside out but still, 52 points is scandalous.

It also gives me a marker-post for future forum meets until I get joined at the ridge and stick supplementary & medal cards in.

Handicaps are handicaps. If you are off 27, that is it. It is what they are there for.

Theres two school of thought. One is that 27 is your official handicap and as such you should play to it until such time as you get a revised one from the Ridge

The other is you are a sombrero wearing, donkey riding bandit who prey on vulnerable golfers to top up your alcohol fund (see Lydd report for confirmation!). I guess its probably up to you and MVP to agree a compromise for the game. From what I know of you I reckon 22 wouldn't be to far off the mark

If you're scoring 52 points I would of thought a handicap of 18 is more realistic, a shot a hole. Hope you don't mind my suggestion, it would be interesting to see how you score, don't you think?

Correct if you not a member of a club you should play of scratch , move to America play on the PGA TOUR and hoover up all the beer tokens every week . .52 points ,seriously just play of 27 its your last handicap. enjoy tomorrow.

Whatever you play off, you should offer to buy the first round, even though you will prob whip MVP's hole.

Stick with 27 mate. That is until you play a few more rounds (after you hand injury) and get back to your true bandit status, then join a club and get a proper one so I can take some money off you.
