Agreed - a must see, even if you are not a big F1 fan.

The guy was a legend.

If he managed to get his wish and the technology was removed from the cars he would have been untouchable.

Simply stunning to watch.

does make the modern cars a bit boring but I guess it had to happen, a shame it took the death of someone like him for it to change.

I didnt realise how many obstacles he was up against & it made Prost look like a right git! (he has redeemed himself post racing though so all is forgiven)

Absolutely! I thoroughly enjoyed the film when I watched it at the cinema last year and happily got the DVD for Christmas. For me he was and remains to be the best F1 driver and his death was one of those 'remember where I was' moments.

An excellent piece of filmaking... Really tried to be un-biased with regard the 'friction' between Senna and Alain Prost... I certainly shed a tear or two whilst watching... Formula1 can be a bit 'barbaric' at times... Senna could have been a hero for me but I stopped having hero's in motorsport after Monza 1978...

Have watched the DVD 3 or 4 times now. Brilliant.
That week-end in 1994 has to be one of the darkest in F1 history.
First the death of Ratzenberger, who is shown in the DVD moments before his accident nervously laughing at how he was having to push his car to the ragged edge to get a result from it, followed by the death of the legend that was Senna.
And how Barrichello walked away from his accident in qualifying is a miracle. The more you watch it, the more you realise how "lucky" he was.
And if a F1 racing driver can be called "spineless" then I would personally direct that accusation at Prost. I never did like the hook nosed, cheese eating surrender monkey. Senna must have hated working with him. I know I would have done.
"Senna" is a brilliant film. Even if you are not a F1 fan, it's worth watching. The guy was a genius.

A superb piece of film making, personally I felt sick knowing what was about to be shown when the in car footage played of the start of his final lap. True Genius

Watched it last night, was transfixed to the screen, great film, great driver, was starting to well up when ratzenburger was killed, but managed to hold it together. Very sad end to fantastic driver.
