Really enjoying watching this... Great to see some of the players from when I used to go to tournaments still able to play some very watchable golf...

Weather looks great also... Whats there not to like...

Just imagine the effect on this lot if they banned Belly and Broom Handle putters!

Well, yes, but..

Looking at it more positively... Woosie's swing is still a joy to watch and you won't see the likes of Norman plotting his way round the course with irons afraid to get the big stick out...

Sadly weather is not so good today but the golf is still worth watching...

Fairly blowy out there this morning
Jacklin looked like he was giving his ego a good talking to for filling in an entry form.

Some of the shots I saw made me feel a bit better about my own game.
But... they all seem to be able to get the ball in the hole for 4's and 5's.
Billy Longmuir missed the green short right with his tee shot at 15th, shanked a simple pitch into the bank, pitched up to 6 feet and holes it for a bogey.
Langer and Calcavechie looked good. Freddie Boom Boom is playing great and 3 putting most greens.
Amazing 63 this morning from an American whose name escapes me, eight birdies in the last 14 holes.

Great little 66 from young Tom Watson, especially when he started with a 6 [or maybe a 5].
I watched him play 8 holes in 4 under, longest birdie putt was about 10 feet.
Easier course today they have moved a couple of tees forward.
Freddie, Barry Lane and Woosie all in the mix up now.

What happened?

Hallberg put in a solid round to back up his 63 on Friday to finish on seven under...

Bernhard [as usual] was painfully slow... Clock was put on him and Freddie... Bernhards game fell apart at this point :(... Official though took it upon himself to warn Freddie  for slow play... Freddie lost his temper with official and his game suffered for a few holes but a birdie birdie finish secured the win...
