Sealskinz socks

I didn't think the weather at West Hill was going to be so bad and I left my Sealskinzin my car back home!

Doh! I find at this time of year they really come into their own if I'm playing early and having to go searching for balls in longish rough (not always my own!). I find this time of year is the worse for soggy feet and so they are on most weekends. Good job I bought more than one pair!

My shoes do the job but its more where the grass is long and wet and goes above the top of the shoes that gets damp, along with the trouser bottoms (hate playing in waterproofs unless its raining) so these sock are perfect

Don't hit your ball in the long grass then :ears:

At 20 notes a pair surely it's easier to just take an extra pair of ordinary socks for afterwards....?

Unless your shoes are made of T bag material or you go paddling......

Or buy a cheap pair of non waterproof shoes, and a pair of sealskinz socks, and pay half what you would for a top brand golf shoes, which are supposedly waterproof. I have never had a pair of golf shoes that have stopped water coming in through the laces, and around the ankle when you are ball hunting, not necessarily your own one Hawkeye, in long rough.

The afterwards isn't the issue, it's during the round, water can leak over the top, through lace holes etc, I don't wear them every time I play, only when forecast wet, mainly winter, 9 times out of 10 shoes do the job, however, an extra bit of precaution does no harm imo.😃

Where are they at that price?

I looked in a camping shop the other week and they were £37, so passed on them.
