Been offered a ScottyCameron Californian Hollywood at a competitive price anybody got one? I have heard how good SC Putters are but feedback would be good cheers, ps will be testing it outdoors shortly, though on putting mat feels good

Nice looking putter and let's be honest SC know how to make a putter. I think you're doing the right thing trying it on grass. Putters are so personal I would merely say if you are happy then go for it. I'm assuming the "competitive" price gives you room for a small profit should you want to move it on anyway

Do you feel you need a change from your Spider ?

A few weeks ago when the greens were a little slower I tried a Scotty and a Ping spin milled Anser 3 instead of my Spider - the Spider just gave me a constant impact but the weighting was so much different.

Yeah I had a little flirt with others but the Spider has behaved so well since going back :D

What I will say is some Scotty models have sharp edges and the head looks very square at address, friend has this style. My Newport is rounded at the edges and doesnt look so squared at address, personally im not keen on the sharp sqaured look, and pefer the ronded look at address, and feeling comfortable at address is what a lot of its about.

I love my Scotty and would seriously consider a divorce before paring with it.

Please dont tell the wife...

Tried several Scottish when putter shopping and couldn't find one I liked.... At all.
As someone else said putters need to suit the eye and feel, doesn't matter what someone else's feedback is, it needs to suit you.

I've just picked the same model up at a competitive price too......

Some good some bad, they take a bit of getting used too, won my first comp with it so I'm happy it's in the bag :D

I have a sc , custom made for me , I holed out very well with it , its a personal thing putters , whatever works is key not what make or how much but how many .......................................EYG
