Scotty Cameron Putters - Why so popular?

because he's the master of marketing, his OTR offerings have been poor for a good few years now.
as for the tour only putters hats off to the man for selling putters for £2000+, if your stupid enough to part with the money.
and the one about you have to be a good putter to use a scotty ! never heard some much crap in all
my life.

I've got a newport pro platinum... I got it off Ebay for £50. It's definitely the best putter I've ever used... I keep wanting to buy something else, but can't find anything better... as with most clubs it all about what you feel comfy with though.

Charging 30 - 40 quid for mid-size winn grip (which you need.. who actually likes those thin original ping style grips anymore!!) with Scotty Cameron on it is shocking though.
