I always just believe if it is the putter for you then you should probably just buy it, the money would only disappear elsewhere anyway.
ive often viewed Scotty putters like Apple iPhones, and the above text could easily be describing an iPhone too ... very expensive, keeps prices high for no reason other than trying to be a premium product, many others do the same thing for a lot less, fanatical following, often seen to copy others. It sells at that price because, in the first place, it's a Scotty Cameron and they will always demand higher prices.
As to whether they are worth that extra money is entirely down to the person who buys it.
IMHO they are overpriced copies of other designs and sell on their brand name but others would argue that they work for them and are worth the money. Each to their own.
I have found a putter I really like and want to buy one. It is called the Scotty Cameron Golo 6 and is very nice.
Unfortunately, they are £250+.
There is no way I would spend that sort of money. It is unjustifiable.
I am sure plenty of you think it is perfectly reasonable - why?
Same could be said of the latest drivers of course but in both cases, the club doesn't do the work and it simply cannot make enough of a difference to warrant that kind of spend.
That aside, anyone want to sell me one for £50?
I couldnt bring myself to part with my cash for one.
I think that the number is something to do with the style of the neck regarding it being straight or what kind of bend it has??I get confused by how many different models there are of them, even with say a Newport range, there's 2 or more submodels, why?
You look up Newport then find Newport 2, 1.5, 2.5, Studio Newport, Select Newport and on it goes....they all look the bleedin' same![]()
